Contributions of photo-documentary practice for the learning of audiovisual language

Abstract

Inspired by Fernando Birri (Documentary School of Santa Fe, 1956), the National School of Experimentation and Filmmaking develops the preparation of photo-documentaries as initial work. We will analyze the strength of starting the teaching of cinema by using subjects from the surrounding world of students and the way in which they approach a field investigation, incorporating the debate as a negotiation exercise within the realization team. We will emphasize the learning of the cinematographic language from the fixed image and its plastic experimentation in a timeline, which allows novel expressive possibilities with the horizon that the productive limitation does not restrict the creativity.

Realizador Cinematográfico (IDAC) y Licenciado en Enseñanza de las Artes Audiovisuales (UNSAM, Argentina). Es docente de la Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematográfica (ENERC) desde el año 2001. Es Coordinador Académico de Sedes Regionales de la ENERC. Director de cine documental y de ficción. Ha participado en talleres y ponencias nacionales e internacionales, jurado en festivales y comités de selección de proyectos del Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales de Argentina (INCAA).
