Abstract

The pandemic of covid-19 has changed the dynamics of life in all globalized societies. In a hyperconnected world, confinements were never contemplated. The impossibility to mobilize and perform simple and normal activities in daily life, have changed by the spaces private and limited house spaces. The cinema, as other arts and industries, is suffering the consequences of one of the worst health and economic crises in the last 100 years. And several challenges are posed in the present and future of the visual arts with respect to their migration to streaming platforms and their competition in cyberspace with large corporations.

Santiago Gerardo Andrade Brito, Independent author

He was born in the city of Cuenca, studied directing and acting at the Institute of Cinema and Acting (INCINE) in Quito, shortly after he began working on audiovisual projects. He is currently an audiovisual producer and works as a director; He is also engaged in professional photography in various fields: urban, portrait, architecture, landscapes, animals, video photography, and editing.
