The relation between audiovisual and community: the appropriation of modernity through global practices

Abstract

This article opens a debate on the concepts of modernity, globalization and miscegenation through the analysis of two Youtube channels: Kuri Fuérez y Nubia e hijos. The objective is to rethink the enunciation and representations assumed by people that according to Modernity, do not belong to the dominant classes but they used their codes to try to define themselves.

He holds a master's degree in Cultural Studies from the Simón Bolívar Andean University, Ecuador headquarters; Graduated in Social Communication from the Central University of Ecuador and has a Technology in Photography and Sound for Film and TV from the Higher Technological Institute of Film and Acting, INCINE. Most of his professional work has been concentrated in the area of ​​sound for cinema (direct sound and post-production). For ten years he has been teaching and coordinating the sound and photography area of ​​INCINE.
